From vet tech to ranch wife
Wyatt runs his family's fourth-generation cattle operation. Colleen spent years as a vet tech in Omaha, watching city life and wondering if there was a man out there who actually lived the life she wanted to join.
"I didn't want to swipe through guys who thought farming was a hobby," Colleen says. "Homestead Hearts matched us because we both *got* the early mornings, the unpredictable weather, the weight of responsibility. We married eighteen months after our first message."

Growing roots after college
Priya grew up on her parents' small vegetable farm but left for college and a decade in tech. She loved the city, but something was missing. Jake farms corn and soybeans three hours west, and wasn't looking in Des Moines.
"We started talking about harvest stress, about watching the weather for days straight, about why you can't just take a vacation in July," Priya says. "That understanding—nobody else I dated had it. Jake and I don't have to explain why we're stressed or why we're celebrating. We just *know*."
They bought a house together last spring and are planning to blend their families' operations.

New love, deep roots
Dale's family has milked cows for sixty years. Marcus grew up in Milwaukee and spent his twenties in software engineering, but he dreamed of rural life—real work, real community, a partner who'd share it.
"Our coordinator really took time to understand what we both needed," Marcus says. "She didn't just throw us together because we both liked hiking. She knew Dale needed someone ready to commit to the farm, and I needed someone patient enough to teach me. That personal touch made all the difference."
Dale and Marcus are now engaged and converting an old barn into their home. Marcus is learning to manage the herd alongside Dale, and they're talking about what's next for the dairy.
